2023 Presenters

George Daniel

After qualifying for Fly Fishing Team USA in Bend, Oregon, George had the opportunity to compete in five World Fly Fishing Championships, coach both the US Youth Team and Fly Fishing Team USA in four World Championships. During this time, George has had an opportunity to travel the globe and learn from many of the best anglers in the world. George is a two-time US National Fly Fishing Champion and was ranked as high as 5th in the world.

Dustan Harley grew up fishing on the rivers of Indiana and Michigan and is lucky enough today to spend most days on those same rivers. He founded Ripple Guide Service in 1999 to give fishermen an unforgettable experience. He guides the rivers of Indiana and Michigan for steelhead, salmon, trout, smallmouth bass, pike, and just about anything else that swims.

Katie Johnstone has always been active in the outdoors, but it wasn't until the Fall of 2017 on a trip to Alaska that she got a taste of fly fishing. With a heart for the outdoors and community, she quickly began to immerse herself in the angling community. She co-founded Ohio Women on the Fly, took a board position on the TU Madmen Chapter and started working at Mad River Outfitters. When Katie isn't in the shop, she is out fishing her local waters or guiding.

John Bramel represents Canoe Kentucky, which offers a variety of experiences, all promising that added personal touch. Their trips guarantee a fun day or multi-day adventure, while delivering a truly knowledgeable and authentic experience.

Brian Flechsig, founder of Mad River Outfitters in Columbus, Ohio, teaches classes and guides groups on fishing trips to some of the world’s best places to fish. He is the author of “The Fly Fisher’s Guide to the Mad River”, Ohio’s premier trout stream, and a prolific YouTube contributor representing Midwest Fly Fishing Schools.
