Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone has any tips for targeting smallmouth on East Fork lake? I went to the lake yesterday at the tunnel mill ramp and went up and down the head waters of the lake but was skunked after 6 hours of fishing. I know the DNR report says their is a good population of smallmouth, but I was unable to get any fish to bite at all. I threw a variety of top water poppers and some bigger streamers but got no looks. I am still a very new to fly fishing, so it all could be that my presentation was poor, but I was wondering if there were any spots on the lake where people have had success. Thanks for your help!
