Kalyn is a fly-fishing enthusiast, a certified casting instructor through Fly Fishers International, and has worked as a fly fishing and guiding for nearly two decades. His fishing journey began in Arkansas where he grew up, then to South Florida, and on to the Carolina’s, and eventually settled in Wisconsin.. He is a member of the United States Fly Casting team, and most recently competed in the international competition held in Italy in the fall of 2026, and is a volunteer for Veterans on the Fly.
Kalyn owns and operates The Fly Road, a Wisconsin-based fly-fishing guide service. He provides fly casting instruction, mentoring, and guided fly-fishing trips. Kalyn has written front page articles for “Sexy Loops” and has been a podcaster with Wet Fly Swing with other world class fly-casting champions. Ian & Charity Rutter
Presentation: 11 am “From the Smokies to Yellowstone to Patagonia: Fly Fishing Across Two Continents”
Ian & Charity Rutter have been the owners and guides at R & R Fly Fishing in Townsend, TN for over 20 years. They share a love of guiding on the rivers and streams in the Great Smoky Mountains and enjoy teaching anglers of any skill level. In addition, they have written several books on fly fishing, with their latest, “Fly Fishing Guide to Great Smoky Mountains National Park”, released in 2024.
Ian began guiding in 1995. He is among the most sought-after guides in the Southeast, and guides exclusively inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In addition, Ian is a recognized nature artist, with his work focusing on the nature and fishing of the Smokey Mountains. Charity, originally from Oklahoma, moved to Townsend in 1998 where she became captivated by the sport. Guiding since 2002, Charity is one of very few women holding a guide permit for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In 2014 Charity was recognized by Field & Stream magazine as one of the top female fly fishing guides in the nation. Ian & Charity also lead incredible fly fishing trips to Yellowstone and Pantagonia. Their program at our Show will share stories and lessons from casting dry flies among bison in the West and stripping streamers in the Andes. Matt Parker
Presentation: 12 pm “The Gems of the Miami Valley”
A true “locally grown” product of Dayton’s Gem City, Matt Parker has spent a lifetime fishing and learning about the waterways of Southwest Ohio. While his heart remains in the Ohio waterways, Matt’s pursuit of fish has taken him across North and South America. Having fly fished in 45 states, he brings a wealth of diverse experience back to his local clients. From the technical currents of the Mad River to the scenic stretches of the Stillwater, Great Miami, Twin Creek, and the Brookville Tailwater, Matt’s love with his home waters is the driving force behind his career.
Matt was educated as a conservation biologist and spent several years with Five Rivers MetroParks, working the natural areas and rivers he now guides and fishes. For over a decade he was the Manager at ReelFlyRod in Dayton, and helped build that business into a premier fly shop. Today, Matthew continues to share his local expertise and biological insights through his 20 years of guiding services, proving daily that you don’t have to travel far to find exceptional fly fishing. Bill Carman
Presentation: 2 pm “Fly Fishing the Red River Gorge”
Bill has over 50 years’ experience hunting and fishing in the Kentucky Wilds and is the owner and operator of Kentucky Wild, LLC, a licensed and insured hunting and fishing guide service. He’s also a charter member of the Kentucky Elk Guide Association. Kentucky Wild is a proud supporter of CASA of Lexington, Trout Unlimited, The Lexington School, and the Professional Bowhunter’s Society. Bill is an accomplished outdoor writer, having authored several books, and loves introducing people to the joys of the outdoors! His presentation will be on Fly Fishing in Red River Gorge, a beautiful natural area in KY, and a very overlooked, and seldom fished stream. Lance Kekel
Lance is from Ravenna, OH, is an avid angler, has been tying flies for over 45 years, ties commercially for shops in Ohio & Michigan, and teaches fly tying. He was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Norvise fly tying competition.

Kevnin Feenstra
Kevin Feenstra, a licensed US Coast Guard captain based in Newaygo, Michigan, has operated Feenstra Guide Service LLC since 1997, spending hundreds of days each year guiding clients on the Muskegon River with a primary passion for swinging flies for steelhead and other predatory fish. Beyond guiding, he is an accomplished fly tier, author, and speaker who published the book Matching Baitfish in November 2020, produced several instructional fly-fishing DVDs, and frequently writes for magazines and presents at Midwest fishing shows. Feenstra also pursues nature photography to capture the natural beauty of West Michigan above and below the water.

Glenn Weisner
Glenn Weisner, from Sylvania, OH, is a world class fly tier and owner of Glenn River Fly Co. As an angler, Glenn is often found fishing the trout streams of PA, WI, OH, & MI. He enjoys tying most trout flies, especially terrestrials. Glenn is a great instructor who enjoys working with people of all skill levels.

Chad Robinson
Chad Robinson is from Celeryville, OH. Although fishing most of his life, he discovered fly fishing in 2020, and in 2022 began tying with help from the Land of Legend Fly Fishers club. He soon found a love, passion, and skill for tying with deer hair.
