Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Workshops

For 2025 we will be offering two fly fishing workshops and three 2+ hour tying workshops. All Workshops will be held at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio, the site of the 2025 Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show.

For all tying workshops, you must provide your own vise, tying tools, and light if you want to use one. All tying materials including threads will be provided.

For the fly fishing workshops there will be hands-on learning for rigging and building custom leaders. Materials will be provided for the program, but attendees should bring a rod for casting practice on the indoor casting pond or outdoors if weather is cooperative.

You must arrive in time to get set up and be ready to tie at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the workshop. To participate in the Tying Workshops, you must be a reasonably competent tyer, having completed the equivalent of a Beginner fly tying class and have continued to tie flies since that class.

Tying workshops will all be held in Oasis Room Sandalwood C (the "Presentations Room" on the Show floor layout).

The fly fishing workshops are limited to 10 participants. All tying workshops will be limited to 24 participants.

Fly Fishing Workshop - Friday, Jan. 31, 2025
The Friday Fly Fishing Workshop will be led by Jason Randall.

Session F-1A: Nymphing Methods & Tactics 9 am - Noon
Session F-2A: Advanced Methods for Dry Fly & Dry-Dropper Fishing 1:30 - 4:30 pm

Fly Tying Workshops - Friday, Jan. 31, 2025
The Friday Fly Tying Workshops will be led by Brian Wise.

Session F-1B: Streamers 9 - 11:30 am

Session F-2B: Streamers 1 - 3:30 pm

Session F-3: Soft Hackles 4 - 6 pm

Costs for Workshops: You may enroll for just one workshop or any number thereof up to all five workshops. Your cost will be determined on how many sessions in which you enroll and are calculated on a sliding scale as follows:

For Three Workshops	$ 70

Fly Fishing Workshops

For One Workshop	$ 60
For Two Workshops	$ 120

You may pay in advance using PayPal/Credit Card.
Registrations are not final until payment is received.
Payments will not be accepted at the workshops.
