- Discussion centered around the new badges and proposal by Don Prince.
- Samples
will be taken to the next general meeting for consensus.
- Pins or stickers could
be used to designate new members or board members, borders could be used for the
same purpose.

- We were charged for the use of Quail Ridge, included was a charge for
sporting clays, Louise will research this charge.
- The audit of the treasury was conducted at the Quail Ridge meeting, a copy
of the report is attached.
Web Site-
New site is up and running. Our site address is www.buckeyeflyfishers.com .
It is 345 pages of material. We need more general interest content, club trip
info, etc. Congratulations to Joe for a job well done.
Buff Editorship-
We still are needing articles every month, encourage people to submit them.
Conservation-
- Jorge reported on the Mohican fly fisher, see attached. There was some
discussion on the Mad River and the club members participation on projects
on the Mad as well as participation in fishing it.
- Bob Goldsberry reported that the Clermont Co. parks are going to have a
road cleanup and have asked us to help by supervising. Oct 23 will be the
date, from 10 until noon.
Education-
- Ed Jones had no report.
- Joe saw a video put out by Cortland that he recommends as a training
video.
- The need for starting fly tying, net building and rod building classes was
expressed.
- If and when we do the Bob Hart sport show we need to have date, time and
place in line for our public fly tying.
FFF/GLC-
Joe reported that the FFF may be breaking down the geographic regions
differently. We will be kept advised.
Programs-
- No report.
- September will be stream monitoring and bugs.
General Topics-
- Goldsberry moved, Fisher seconded that all cooks eat free.
- Sept 12 will be CFRB planning meeting.
- Discussion on renting Pattison park for indoor meetings, it is a long way
for a lot of members to travel.
- Bob Goldsberry moved, Fisher seconded that Jim send a letter in support of
the Crooked Creek Conservation Alliance to help save Crooked Creek, a
smallmouth stream in Arkansas. The alliance consists of the Sierra Club and
FFF as well as the Wildlife Federation.
- Discussion was held concerning the results of the membership questionnaire
and survey, Mike Bryant will write up an article for the Buffer and the
website.
